Spring Cleaning

My phone needed a Spring Cleaning, so I thought I'd dump some pictures on the blog for safekeeping. Plus, I'm sure you're all dying to know what we've been up to the past month. So, you're welcome. Here's what we've been up to:

^^Eating a bunch of junk, as usual. The beautiful burger is from West Side, my favorite. German goodies from an online German shop, and Thai green curry from a date with my sisters at Pad Thai House. Yummm.

^^We got matching bedroom furniture! And new bedding! Holla! That book is really good. And WE GOT A NEW CAR!!!

^^Spring is lovely, and we had a beautiful (and delicious) Easter Sunday.

+So for Easter, we watched General Conference with my mom. Afterwards, we had a delicious brunch (made by my mother) with my sister and her boyfriend. My mom made waffles and apparently they taste better when she makes them, even though we use the same recipe. My mom gave us our Easter baskets and then we went home and took a nap. We listened to the afternoon session of Conference while I made our Easter feast. We had ham, the best scalloped potatoes ever, rolls, and asparagus. For dessert- carrot cake. It was a quiet Easter Sunday, but I loved it! I got to see my family and eat delicious food and that's all I could ever ask for.
+We got a new car! We'd been discussing it for weeks since Tyler is now working in Meridian and has a different schedule than I do. My mom actually let us borrow one of her cars for a few weeks until we found another car that would work for us. Well, we ended up finding a 2013 Volkswagen Passat for a steal of a deal at the same place we bought our Camry. It's basically brand new and we like it a lot!
+I've lost a total of 10 pounds since the beginning of the year, so I don't actually eat as much junk as you might think, given the above pictures. ;) Just wanted to clarify that I'm not a total pig. I've hardly touched the German goodies that Tyler bought, so I probably deserve some sort of recognition for that.
+Tyler started his new job a few weeks ago and is liking it so far. He's still training, but I haven't heard him complain about a single thing. He doesn't complain a lot about anything, so I guess that's not really saying much. Anyway, we're thrilled he got this new job. The extra money that came with it doesn't hurt either.
+Our bedroom looks like adults actually live in there now. Tyler setup all that furniture by hand and hardly had any help from me. I've only ran into our new bed about 5 times now. Bo's crashed into it too, so I'm not the only one having a hard time getting used to it.
+I got called to be in Young Women's as the Beehive Advisor! I'm really excited to be out of Primary and also a terrible person. But really, I was having such a hard time with my Primary class that I was a little bit relieved. Plus, Young Women's is the best.
+I loved General Conference. I always do, but it was especially good having it Easter weekend. Elder Holland's talk was my favorite (of course). I also took a lot of notes during President Uchtdorf's talk on grace. Listen to those if you get a chance! And now that I've looked at who the speakers were Sunday morning, you should just watch the whole session. All the talks were so good. So good.

Well, that's basically the last month in a nutshell. Besides eating food, celebrating Easter, assembling new furniture, buying a car, and watching General Conference, we haven't been up to much. Hopefully this season is just as lovely and happy for you!

P.S. So glad winter is over.
