A Hodgkin Christmas Eve

I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday this week! We really enjoyed all the time we were able to spend with our family. Prepare yourself for loads and loads of pictures from our festivities.

This year, we continued our tradition of spending the evening of Christmas Eve at Gregg and Jamie's house. This time around was extra special because Heidi and Gregg were here. Jamie organized a Christmas program, which was a Hodgkin family tradition in years past. Each of the kids memorized a poem, we sang songs, and Dallin even made a special Christmas video for us to watch. The piece de resistance of the night was when the kids performed Silent Night in German, which they had been memorizing for weeks. The whole thing was really touching and I can't wait for the Hodgkin family Christmas program 2014. At least I hope we make it a regular tradition!

After the program, we got right to opening presents. I love being with our nieces and nephews when they open their gifts. They remind me how magical and exciting Christmas is. Hopefully some of that magic comes through in the pictures I took. Enjoy!

^^So many presents!

^^Cutie matching pajamas.

^^Tyler and I sang The First Noel.

^^Stille Nacht

^^Jamie made me that cute chalkboard. I love it! Bo was so intrigued with all the gift opening this year and he really got spoiled- the kids even gave him some of their old toys. He was in heaven! And Emma had some pretty good reactions to her presents. Just look at how blurry she is in that middle picture!

Next I'll share bits of Christmas Day.
