You'll fall asleep counting your blessings

In honor of Thanksgiving tomorrow, enjoy this version of one of my favorite hymns- Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.

And here's a brief list of what I've been most grateful for this year (in no particular order):
>>Tyler. He's always at the top of my list. He's my favorite. After being married for over two and a half years, I still can't figure out how he manages to put up with me every day, but I'm thankful for his patience. And he makes me laugh every day, not even exaggerating. No matter how grumpy I get, he somehow manages to snap me out of it. I'm especially thankful for all the things he does for me without any thought or question, like taking care of all those pesky bills we have to pay, checking the mail religiously, taking Bo out to potty in the mornings (and middle of the night), and for heating up the car every morning. Not to mention the hours he spends doing homework after working full time and taking a full load of classes all with the goal that someday soon, we can really settle down and make babies and things of that nature. And let me just tell you that picturing Tyler as a dad makes me want to pop a baby out right this second. Too much? He's going to be a great papa, and I cannot wait. Was that mushy enough for you?
>>Our family. They are always there for us when we need them. And I'm not even joking when I say they're pretty much our only friends, too. We are so thankful that Tyler's parents will be here shortly. And they are STAYING! For good. It still is crazy to me, but it will be so nice having them so close. Ever since I started dating Tyler, he has always longed for them to be here. And now it's finally happening!
>>Having the opportunity to teach primary. It was a nice reminder that the Gospel is so simple. I tend to make things as complicated as can be.
>>Getting to move twice in one year. It made me realize how much I love Boise, as much as I want to move to Utah. ;) It also made me realize how much STUFF we have, and how much of it we really don't need. What is it about moving that makes you want to get rid of everything you own?
>>Weekends. This year, more so than last year, I have felt like Tyler is in class ALL THE TIME. I've especially loved soaking up our interrupted time together each weekend.
>>Road trips. Our trips to Portland and Salt Lake were way too much fun. Just thinking about the trips we took this year makes me want to pack up our stuff and get out of town again.
>>Bo. Even though he was naughty today, I'm still thankful for him. He keeps me company when Tyler is in class and is always willing to go on long walks with me. Also, he's freaking cute and cracks me up. Seriously, people that don't have dogs don't know what they're missing.

What have you been thankful for this year? I hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving!

See previous Thanksgiving posts here and here. And if you're looking for more Thanksgiving goodness, I recommend this Thanksgiving Special from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, I promise. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!
