One Year Ago
Can you believe it's been a year already? We sure can't! This first year has had its ups and downs, for sure. But mostly it's been the best time ever. We've grown so much closer and learned so much about each other and being married. I feel like I've matured a lot (at least I hope I have) and am so grateful for all the opportunities I've had to learn. I've learned so much from Tyler and am so lucky and thankful that he puts up with all my weird quirks, sarcasm, OCD tendencies, and craziness. I love him so so much. I am so glad I married my best friend and favorite person in the whole world. And I love being married to him.
My favorite things from our first year of marriage:
>>Honeymooning in Cascade
>>Waking up to next to Tyler every day
>>Moving into our little apartment together and slowly making it feel like home
>>Those first days when we ate on a blanket, picnic style, because we didn't even have our folding table yet
>>Taking lots of walks on the Greenbelt
>>NCIS marathons in bed
>>Our first married Christmas
>>Getting to know Tyler's family better
Since our anniversary is on Sunday, we're taking the liberty of celebrating all weekend long. We already bought a kitchen table last weekend to celebrate. We'll be having a romantic evening tonight involving some chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider, taking a trip to the Twin Falls temple tomorrow, and doing some other little activities on Sunday after church. Aaaand Tyler has Monday off from work so we're taking our celebrations into next week too. Seriously stoked for that!
Have a happy weekend! And a Happy Anniversary to my handsome husband!
P.S. Sometimes (mostly when I see pretty wedding things on Pinterest) I wish I could throw on my wedding dress and have another wedding day. But with the same person, of course. I just loved everything about that day-all our family in town, being in the temple, delicious food, and loads of gifts. If I got to relive that day all over again I probably would have eaten more dessert. Haha!
